Situated in southern Cambridgeshire, Audley End House and Gardens is a stunning Jacobean mansion that was originally built for Thomas Howard, the admiral who commanded the British fleet against the Armada. Later owned by King Charles II in 1669, this is one of the most important Cambridge landmarks and is full of interesting period features. Now owned by English Heritage, attractions at Cambridge's Audley End House and Gardens include numerous paintings, antique furniture, landscaped gardens designed by Capability Brown, ponds, a picturesque stretch of the River Cam, a historic bridge and Palladian teahouse, a formal parterre garden, a gift shop, a café and a picnic area.

The historic Cambridgeshire Wimpole Hall Estate is located close to Cambridge and dates back to the 18th century. With formal Dutch gardens, large areas of parkland and woodlands, Wimpole Hall Estate is the largest house in Cambridgeshire and is often home to large open-air concerts during the summer months, which culminate in spectacular fireworks displays.
